¡ª Highlights ¡ª

¡¡

Dual Band ¡¡

Dual Display
¡¡ Radios with Dual Band capability can transmit and receive on both UHF and VHF radio bands. ¡¡ ¡¡ The LCD screen allows users to view the current information of the two frequency bands or other settings, providing a larger amount of visual information.

Dual Watch ¡¡ Dual Receive
¡¡ Allows user to choose 2 priority channels to scan. ¡¡ ¡¡ Like having two radios in one, the dual receive function allows you to receive and listen to two different channels simultaneously .
Screen Display ¡¡ Receiver Only
¡¡ An LCD screen allows users to view channels, call up stored information and navigate through the radio¡¯s features. ¡¡ ¡¡ In some special cases, you only need to receive and do not need to transmit, then you can enable this function.
Signal Strength Indicator ¡¡ Channel Alias
¡¡ The Signal Strength Indicator measures the amount of power present in a radio signal. It is an approximate value for signal strength received on an antenna. ¡¡ ¡¡ Allows the user to give each channel a user defined name.
Power Adjustable ¡¡ Channel Step
¡¡ This feature allows you to switch between high and low power modes on the radio(25W/10W/4W). ¡¡ ¡¡ Channel refers to the frequency value occupied when transmitting and receiving.
Monitor ¡¡ Wide/Narrow Band
¡¡ This feature allows you to check if a channel is clear before you transmit. ¡¡ ¡¡ Narrowband takes up less frequency space and lowers the chance for interference, wideband channels can carry more infos but require more power.
Scan ¡¡ Priority Scanning
¡¡ The channel scan feature enables a two way radio to continuously scan each channel for activity. ¡¡ ¡¡ During the scanning process, the set priority channel is scanned first.
Key Lockout ¡¡ Auto Power Off
¡¡ When activated this feature allows the user to lock the buttons so that in case the user presses them by mistake, it does not result in some unwanted action. ¡¡ ¡¡ In order to extend the life of the battery, when activated, these radios will automatically turn off when they are inactive for a period of time.
Busy Channel Lockout ¡¡ Time-out Timer
¡¡ This feature keeps communication lines open by preventing radios from listening or transmitting through conversations outside their talkgroup. ¡¡ ¡¡ This feature will stop the transmission of the two-way radio if the radio is transmitting for a long duration.
Transmit Inhibit ¡¡ PTT ID
¡¡ Prevents transmission on a channel, basically making it a 'receive only' channel. ¡¡ ¡¡ This feature allows the radio to transmit and/or receive a radio ID and lets you know who is transmitting to you.
Private Call/Group Call/All Call ¡¡ Stun/Kill/Revive
¡¡ Private Call allows a radio user to place a call to just one user, Group Call provides voice call service in a group. ¡¡ ¡¡ Stun and Kill disables a radio over the air and Revive restores the disabled radio.
Talk Around ¡¡ Reverse Frequency
¡¡ A radio communicates through a repeater to bypass it and communicate directly to the radio on the other end of the connection instead. ¡¡ ¡¡ Reverse works by swapping the two frequencies. The transmit and receive frequencies of the active channel are exchanged or reversed.
Offset ¡¡ Noise Reduction
¡¡ Offset is the difference between a radio channel's receive and transmit frequencies. ¡¡ ¡¡ Noise reduction is the process of removing noise from a signal, in order to improve background sound quality to be clearer.
Power-On Password ¡¡ Voice Prompt
¡¡ A power-on password can be a login password. Once it's set, without it you will be unable to turn on your radio or login system smoothly. ¡¡ ¡¡ The radio actually talks to you in a human-like voice. You will hear the prompt spoken in plain relative language.
Keypad Tone ¡¡ Roger Beep/Talk Confirmation Tone
¡¡ Pressing a single key of keypad produces a sound to remind that you already successfully press this key. ¡¡ ¡¡ When this feature is activated, a tone is transmitted to the listener after a transmission.
1000/1450/1750/2100Hz ¡¡ Silent Mode
¡¡ 1000/1450/1750/2100Hz is used to connect to the repeater. ¡¡ ¡¡ In silent mode, the radio will indicate an incoming transmission without making an audible alert of any kind.
NOAA Weather Alerts ¡¡ CTCSS/DCS
¡¡ This feature will give you the latest NOAA weather information delivered to your radio real-time. ¡¡ ¡¡ CTCSS uses continuous tones below 300 Hz whereas DCS uses digital data and all encoded words can be used on the same channel without interference.
DTMF ¡¡ 2-Tone
¡¡ DTMF is a technology that uses a combination of tones to perform a number of useful signaling operations. ¡¡ ¡¡ This feature employs a sequential transmission of 2 audible tones, enabling the receiver to hear an alert tone.
5-Tone ¡¡ MDC1200
¡¡ Similar to 2-tone, the 5-Tone is used to enable alerts, alarms, send IDs, and many other functions. ¡¡ ¡¡ It uses short bursts of 1200 baud AFSK data to perform functions like PTT-ID and Selective Calling.
