A17 High Power Long Range Two Way Radio

The A17 is a breeze to use.8 watts of power for maximum coverage. Two programmable buttons give you fast access to features. The A17 radio also has channel announcement, low battery alert, channel scan, hands-free VOX, voice scrambling and more.

	You can program or assign to perform a user specific function. Personalize the required functions for convenient and quick operation.			This feature allows you to check if a channel is clear before you transmit.
	Channel Step			Scan
	Channel refers to the frequency value occupied when transmitting and receiving.			The channel scan feature enables a two way radio to continuously scan each channel for activity.
	Hands-Free VOX			Power Adjustable
	This hands-free feature allows you to get on with other manual tasks while you stay in touch with other users.			This feature allows you to switch between high and low power modes on the radio.
	Wide/Narrow Band			Battery Saver
	Narrowband takes up less frequency space and lowers the chance for interference, wideband channels can carry more infos but require more power.			The radio will switch to automatically after being left unused for a certain amount of time, lessens the drain on your battery and makes it last longer.
	Busy Channel Lockout			Time-out Timer
	This feature keeps communication lines open by preventing radios from listening or transmitting through conversations outside their talkgroup.			This feature will stop the transmission of the two-way radio if the radio is transmitting for a long duration.
	Compandor			Scrambler
	This feature can help improve signal-to-noise ratio, reduce the background noise and obtain good audio quality at the receiver.			A technology is used to scramble communications to prevent other radio users in the vicinity from listening to your conversations.
	Voice Prompt			Power-on Tone
	The radio actually talks to you in a human-like voice. You will hear the prompt spoken in plain relative language.			A sound prompt when you turn on the power, which is a very practical function in dark places or for people with visual impairments.
	Low Battery Alert			Emergency Alert
	This warning reminds that your battery is low and must be either recharged or replaced.			If an operator needs to send an immediate and urgent request for help, the push of just one button can trigger a call for assistance.
	Remote Alert			Roger Beep/Talk Confirmation Tone
	With remote alert your radio can be programmed to automatically transmit a background sound.			When this feature is activated, a tone is transmitted to the listener after a transmission.
	1750Hz			CTCSS/DCS
	1750Hz is used to connect to the repeater.			CTCSS uses continuous tones below 300 Hz whereas DCS uses digital data and all encoded words can be used on the same channel without interference.
